Positive Reviews
positive:
Beachfront location is just right.
Past guests' favourite thing about the resort has been its beachfront location. The resort offers direct access to a private beach, while some accommodations offer scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean, views that are especially impressive at sunrise.
positive:
Pool area popular with guests.
Many guests enjoy the hotel's outdoor pool and hot tub, both of which are said to be great for unwinding. Additionally, guests enjoy the poolside deck, reporting that it's a great place to soak in some rays and generally relax.
positive:
Accommodating staff on hand.
Previous guests have been quick to praise the resort staff. From the front desk personnel to housekeepers to maintenance workers, everybody is said to be friendly and accommodating.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Street-facing rooms suffer traffic noise.
According to reports, rooms facing the street - rather than those facing the ocean - can be subject to a lot of traffic noise. The hotel sits along South Atlantic Avenue, a busy road that stretches through Ormond Beach and beyond. Heavy traffic is said to pass by late into the night, which can result in disturbed sleep.
negative:
Hot water soon runs out.
A cool shower is often on
the agenda for guests staying at the resort, at least according to reports. Past
guests have found that hot water does not last long in their accommodations,
pointing out that it may not even last the length of a single shower.
negative:
No daily housekeeping.
The part-service resort
does not offer daily housekeeping, something travellers used to traditional
hotels are sometimes flummoxed by. Instead, guests are required to take care of
their own rubbish, while used towels can only be exchanged at designated times.
