Simmons Motel and Suites (Hershey, USA)

From the hotel, it's an easy walk to most of the attractions in Hershey, including the many chocolate themed attractions like Hershey's Chocolate World, the Hershey Theater, and Hershey Gardens, as well as other local attractions like Zoo America and Indian Echo Caverns.

Guests loved the homey feel of this mom and pop hotel. They found the whole place to be quite charming, and the staff there to be friendly and personable. Special requests were accommodated easily with a smile, and they were happy to provide recommendations and directions to the area attractions.

The housekeeping staff does an excellent job of keeping all of the rooms spotlessly clean. Guests were also pleased to that their rooms were well maintained throughout their stay.

Simmons Motel has the distinction of having been featured recently on the hotel makeover show "Hotel Impossible". Major renovations were made to the lobby during the filming, and most guests are fans of the new look. Unfortunately, that aesthetic does not extend to the rest of the hotel, which maintains a distinctly 1950's vibe, including pink and turquoise decor.

The rooms do not include a coffee maker, a factor which represented a major drawback for some guests. They do offer complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby, but reviewers would have preferred to have their morning coffee in the privacy of their room.

Guests who booked the hotel's "suites" had a reasonable expectation that the bed would be in a separate room for the living room. They were disappointed to find that the beds and living room were all located in the same, single room.
