The people that work here are friendly but not too pushy which is the perfect mix for a hotel. They will gladly help you out with whatever issues you might have or even just to recommend a place to eat in the town.

The breakfast served at this hotel is cooked to order, and you can have almost anything you like within reason. Kippers, continental, full English, all are available, and all are extremely delicious. A great way to start the day.

This hotel is so ideally located that it feels like it's just a short walk from anywhere in the town. You can get to the cathedral or the abbey in about ten minutes or head to the shops down the local high street. It's a great base for exploring the town.

The shower rooms are in need of an update at this hotel where guests have noticed that they are looking a bit shabby. They also have a bit of mildew too which may be a concern for anyone with allergies or asthma.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that this place would have no internet as it is such an old world style building. However, there is, but it's not that great. You can use it, but it might get a little frustrating after a while if you can't open anything.

The public areas in this hotel need to be renovated in order for it to compete with other places that are similarly priced in the area. There are too many spots that look a bit old and worn to justify the high price tag.
