Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean and comfortable rooms
Rooms here are found to be of a great standard. Guests consistently describe the accommodation as clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The size of the rooms has also proved impressive, as has the selection of amenities on offer.
positive:
Great service from staff
Previous guests have felt very welcome here, with many particularly impressed by the warm welcome and friendly, attentive service offered by manager Darren. Overall, though, all the staff attract positive feedback so it seems unlikely that you would encounter any service-related issues here.
positive:
Excellent value for money
The rates here are found to be exceptionally reasonable, especially when compared to hotels in Liverpool city centre. Guests have enjoyed the extra savings offered by free perks such as Wi-Fi Internet access, continental breakfast, and parking.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Breakfast could be improved
While guests do appreciate that breakfast is free, they have occasionally mentioned that they found the choice of food a little sparse. A cooked breakfast is, of course, available for a fee but this is unavailable until the pub officially opens at lunch time - a time that won't suit all that many guests.
negative:
May not suit mobile impaired guests
Guests note that the lack of a lift at this property combined with a fair amount of stairs means that this hotel may not be all that suitable for guests who have mobility issues.
negative:
Location may not appeal to everyone
There are pros and cons to the location of this hotel. On the plus side, it's close to the football stadiums and within a short drive of the city centre (and cheaper as a result). The downside is that guests have occasionally found the immediate surroundings a little rough looking with little on offer aside from football matches.
