Positive Reviews
positive:
Absolutely hospitable
Even if your train arrives a bit early, the hosts at Station Hotel will extend a warm welcome and invite you to store your luggage until your room is ready. Many guests are also encouraged to leave their luggage safely in the hands of the helpful staff until their coach back home is ready to leave.
positive:
No frills, no fuss
Guests have described the rooms as basic, with a combination of modern amenities and the simple comforts of home. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and the beds are fluffy and soft. Although the bathrooms are small, they are well-equipped and clean.
positive:
Great value for a single room
Some visitors who have travelled alone to Shrewsbury are quite impressed with the excellent single rates they were charged. The rooms were the perfect size for one person, and had everything they needed.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Way too small for families
If you happen to be travelling with a small family, then the rooms at Station Hotel might just feel seriously cramped. They are already quite small, so if you have more than two or three travellers in your party, you might want to book two rooms instead.
negative:
Pricey drinks
Most visitors loved the bar and the relaxed atmosphere, however the drinks were considered to be a little expensive. Guests said that they didn't mind spending extra on the specialty drinks though, but would have preferred the regular drinks to be a little less.
negative:
A little too much noise
If you find yourself in a front room on a Saturday night, you probably won't be able to get much sleep. Some visitors said that this is where the social crowds meet until the early hours of the morning, so make sure you pack the ear plugs.
