Thresher Cove Dive Resort is a purpose built, family owned property designed to give traveling divers of all budgets, a high quality dive resort experience that is completely different to anything else in the region. If you are a backpacker, or luxury traveller, we offer peace and tranquility, with a private access beach cleaned daily, the largest pool on the island, a gym, billiards table, volleyball, badminton, kayaking, DVD library, cocktails and a selection of excellent coffees made by our resident barista (not from a pod). Our restaurant is staffed by trained chefs and the menu features a range of freshly cooked to order meals from Europe and Asia. Our baker makes all of our bread, pizza dough and even our version of croissants. For the meat eaters, we use the best quality imported meats so that we can be sure of both food safety and quality. Wherever possible, we use legal, locally caught fish bought directly from the island's fishermen on the day they are caught. For our vegetarian guests we have a selection of tasty options and with some notice we can cater properly for vegans and other specialised diets. Of course, the main reason to visit Malapascua is to dive with Thresher Sharks. However, all the diving we offer is great, including Manta Rays, Hammerhead Sharks, White-tip sharks and a vast selection of corals, and invertebrates. Our fun diving sites include Aquarium Island, Gato Island, Kalanggaman Island, Kemud Shoal and the famous Monad Shoal. As a PADI 5 STAR IDC DIVE RESORT we offer the full range of PADI courses at competitive prices, from try-dives and Open Water/Advanced Open Water all the way to Dive Master and Instructor. Our PADI status guarantees you the highest standard of dive operation. All of our dive guides are qualified PADI Dive Masters. Our licensed dive boats are comfortable, safe and properly equipped with life jackets, first aid kits, O2 and long range radios that reach to the furthest extent of our dive operations. To help you relax after diving, we can offer you massages, yoga or simple relaxation by the pool, on the beach or in front of the TV. We now have an excellent WiFi system, and although its limited by being in the Philippines, you can now have seamless internet access from anywhere in the resort via our private satellite connection. If you are bringing young children we can provide a child minder or babysitter and a cot in your room. We are located on the quiet east side of the island about 1km from the public beach. Thats 10-15 minutes on foot or 5 minutes by bike. We offer a full 24 hour transfer service from anywhere on Cebu Island, by car and private boat. We have the only child's car seat available on the island. For those who prefer a little more luxury, we can arrange sea plane and helicopter transfers straight to the resort. Accommodation ranges from inexpensive beach cabins with few frills, to inexpensive air-conditioned dorms for back packers and dive groups, through deluxe and premium deluxe rooms and even luxury villas with king size beds and stunning views.
