Positive Reviews
positive:
Water choices everywhere
The pool here is more like a tropical oasis at a resort than a hotel pool. There are tropical parrots, tiki huts, and water fountains, for ambiance and pleasure. Guests who want more water choices can take a short drive to the world-famous beaches of Fort Lauderdale.
positive:
Great for short or long trips
This hotel is great for a quick getaway and also great for those taking extended vacations. There is plenty for kids to do onsite and it's just a short drive to food, shops, and other recreational activities.
positive:
You'll be taken care of
The hotel staff gives great customer service, from reception to housekeeping. The staff is friendly and accommodating and guests are able to relax knowing all their needs will be quickly and efficiently taken care of.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Catch the midnight train
The train tracks located right behind the hotel are well-used. The train runs all night long and you'll know from the constant horns that announces its crossing at a local intersection. The noise can be very loud and disruptive, especially to those located on that side of the resort.
negative:
Shake, rattle, and roll
Besides the train shaking your room, there are other noises to capture your attention. The air conditioning units squeak and rattle in rooms. The hotel is located in the flight path of a local airport so airplane noise is fairly constant. Add all that to the noise from a local intersection and you'll have a full orchestra of noise.
negative:
Amateur issues
Many of the issues at the hotel take away from a professionally-run establishment. The housekeeping staff is not meticulous in every room and guests frequently have to ask for daily cleaning to occur. Some rooms are missing items, like lamps or towels, and the front desk reception can be slow.
