Redesigned by sculptor and painter Stefano Artale, this Alcamo hotel was a former convent and made entirely out of stone. This family friendly hotel is located very close to the Alcamo Castle. The front desk staff of La Batia Alcamo is extremely friendly and courteous with the guests. Service is of the very highest level in rooms as well as during breakfast. Even the bar staff has been appreciated by the guests.
The hotel may have sea views but the beaches are not so near with the path not suitable for travelling. It is located in the middle of nowhere with just a few industries and a busy main road on the hill. The city is also somewhat far from the hotel.
Some guests have had problems with their air-conditioner either due to noise or due to cooling problems. Since it can get really hot in the summers, a malfunctioning air-conditioner is not really good for anybody.
There is a general lack of soundproofing in La Batia Alcamo which can be a nuisance. There is a lot of disturbance especially near the restaurant and the bar area due to guest movement.
