Rallye Monte-Carlo (Monaco, Monaco)

The Monte Carlo Rally is organised each year since 1911 by the Automobile Club de Monaco. This rallying event takes place around Monte Carlo and Monaco, along the French Riviera and further north through narrow asphalt mountain roads. Due to difficult and demanding conditions the winners of the rally are assured success and publicity. Conditions through one race can vary from dry to wet tarmac, snow or icy conditions. “La Bollène to Sospel” is one of the most famous special stages in the world, with its reputed hairpin bends and icy “cols”. The Turini is also run by night and is also known as the “Night of the Long Knives” with its high beam lights. The Monte Carlo Rally is the oldest event on the WRC calendar. Sebastien Loeb and his Citroen are the team to beat these last years.
