Württemberg State Museum (Stuttgart, Germany)
The Museum of the State of Wuerttemberg offers permanent and temporary exhibitions in 3 different locations. The main part of the exhibition can be found in the Old Castle where the history, art and culture of Swabia are documented. As part of the exhibition you will be able to see the crown jewels, the famed glass collection of Wuerttemberg, the art collection of the Dukes of Wuerttemberg as well as archaeological findings from the region. A collection of musical instruments can be seen in the Fruchtkasten, which is also located on Schillerplatz, just opposite the Old Castle. The third part of the museum is the Roman Lapidarium which can be seen in the cellars of the New Castle. The 400 year old collection comprises of 90 exhibits from the 1st to the 3rd century AD.
