Positive Reviews
positive:
Hospitality plus.
The innkeepers were some of the best of the bunch, and many guests said that the exceptional customer service made for an unforgettable getaway. Instead of eating a quick breakfast, you just might find yourself lingering over great conversation with the hosts, who also happened to have lots of useful information about the local area.
positive:
Fantastic location.
It was easy for guests to leave the car behind, and the majority chose to walk to the many nearby attractions. It was two minutes to the Thames Business District, and The Elms mansion was right across the street. For further historical touring, Bellevue Avenue was also accessible on foot.
positive:
Breakfast worth getting up for.
Guests said that you shouldn't even think about missing breakfast, because it was hot, plentiful, and most importantly, delicious. Even non-breakfast eaters found something to enjoy, and guests said that it was easily one of their favourite aspects of the stay.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Beware of the stairs.
Narrow and numerous stairs were one thing that guests said they could have done without. Stairs might be especially hard to navigate when making your way to the breakfast room, and while some guests said that the view during breakfast was usually worth it, those with mobility issues couldn't agree.
negative:
Noisy at times.
Management couldn't control the noise coming from neighbouring buildings, and on weekends, guests said that late night partying might be too much for a peaceful sleep.
negative:
Smaller rooms really small.
If you are trying to save a few dollars and opt for the smaller rooms, guests said that you should be prepared to feel cramped. It was often hard to comfortably move around these tiny rooms, and guests said that it might be worth it to pay for more space.
