About
Gwynne House is a family-run Guest House set in a Victorian lodge dating to 1896, located six minutes’ walk from Stamford’s town centre.
Three individually-styled guest rooms boast cosy decor and private facilities. Free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV and tea/coffee facilities are standard.
Gwynne House offers street parking at the rear of the property. Garden with seating is a plus. Full English or Continental breakfast, with options for vegetarians, is included in your stay.
Although this Guest House offers breakfast there is no bar or restaurant on premises. Luckily there are lots of places to eat close by. The Tobie Norris offers British and Italian cuisine and features pizza and a full service bar. The Mad Turk offers Turkish and Mediterranean fare.
Burghley Park, Stamford Arts Centre and Rutland Open Air Theatre are close at hand. Barn Hill and St. Martin’s Church are a short drive away.

positive:
The rooms have recently been renovated
The spotlessly clean guest rooms have recently been renovated which means that everything is fresh and new. Plenty of amenities and comfortable beds made up with clean crisp linens make your stay a relaxing one.
positive:
This is a non-smoking property
Smoking is prohibited in the guest rooms which is great news if you don't imbibe as you are guaranteed a stay that's free of the acrid smell of stale, second hand smoke.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking can be difficult
Gwynne House does not offer on-site parking. Although they do have street parking right outside the back gate, there may be times when you have to search for parking which could be a bit inconvenient.
negative:
One guest room is smaller than the others
Although two of the guest rooms here are spacious, one is a bit small which could prove problematic if you need extra room to manoeuvre.
negative:
One of the bathrooms is far from the room
The ground floor guest room is a bit far from the bathroom. The problem is that you have to walk through the owners private space to reach the facilities which could prove problematic for those who like their privacy.
