About Ocean View
Located directly across from the Pavilion Theatre, Ocean View offers self-catering apartments in the seaside town of Rhyl, North Wales.
All rooms are well appointed, and quaintly decorated. The apartments all feature fully equipped kitchens, including an electric cooker, and a sitting area with a TV. Some rooms have sea views.
Ocean View features different sized apartments, ranging from studio apartments to double rooms, and family rooms.
There is no restaurant onsite, but nearby eateries are within walking distance, and offer options for mealtimes. The fully equipped kitchenettes provide enough for guests to prepare their own meals.
The beach is 150 metres away, and Rhyl Railway Station is a five-minute walk away. Four golf courses are in the immediate surrounds, and the Snowdonia National Park is only a 40-minute drive away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Fantastic location for families.
Families travelling together, especially those with young children will find the location within a short walking distance from the beach, to be great. The easy access to the beach, and other surrounds, makes Ocean View a first rate choice when it comes to self-catering.
positive:
Large rooms to spread out.
Guests wont feel the pinch in their accommodation, as the rooms are large, with enough room for one to swing a cat. There is no worry about tripping over one another, and there is plenty of space for luggage storage too.
positive:
Seaside accommodation bonuses.
There is something to be said for staying in seaside accommodation. The sound of the sea is the best lullaby, and the fresh salty air does wonders for stress relief. Guests will enjoy these bonuses, plus the views are nothing to complain about.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Electricity meter at own cost.
Guests will need to bring enough money to feed the electricity meter themselves, as this is taken under the guests own cost. If all guests are wanting to shower around the same time, the meter will run out quickly, sometimes adding an extra price tag on one’s holiday.
negative:
Steep stairs leading to apartments.
Guests staying in the apartments on the higher floors will find the stairs to be on the steeper side than they might prefer, and if one is travelling with a lot of luggage, that climb becomes just that much more difficult.
negative:
No towels provided.
Guests should travel with their own towels, as at times in the busier months, the demand for fresh towels becomes too much, and some guests can be left high and not so dry, without fresh towels.
