The guestrooms at Mackenzie Guest House are nicely spacious, with comfortable beds. What's more, the entire place is absolutely spotless, both in private and public areas.

The property is well placed. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city but close to a bus stop which will take you right there in about a quarter of an hour, so you'll have the best of both worlds.

The hotel's owners and staff are absolutely wonderful. They are helpful in the extreme and will do anything for you. They couldn't be more obliging and they have a great knowledge of the local area as well, so be sure to ask them for some useful tips.

Mackenzie Guest House doesn't have the thickest walls, so you might hear the people in the next room. Also, the floors creak pretty badly at night and might keep you awake.

During busy times, it might be a little tricky to find a parking space on the street outside, which is a bit frustrating.

While the bathrooms are generally very well presented, the only slight problem is the water pressure in the showers, which is a little on the weak side.
