The friendly, courteous staff is top notch and dedicated to good service which is something that guests remarked on. The staff cannot do enough for their guests and are happy to accommodate special requests. Knowledgeable about the area, the staff was happy point guests in the direction of local eateries, entertainment and the most popular tourist destinations when asked to do so.
Although the guest rooms are clean they are rather dated. Furnishings and beds that are well past their prime and bathroom fixtures that are need of replacement were problems noticed by many guests.
There is no lift at this hotel and the stairs are steep. This was notably problematic for those with limited mobility or those travelling with small children or lots of luggage in tow. In addition, the car park is at the bottom of a steep hill which some found difficult to manage.
