The Le Royal Aboukir in Paris is ideally located for many of the city's attractions. The Louvre is a five minute walk, Galeries Lafayette and Centre Pompidou are about ten minutes on foot. The hotel is also close to eating out joints and shopping areas. Several metro stations are close to the hotel, making it a good base to explore the city. There are shuttle services that guests found very convenient as well.

The décor of the rooms and the hotel are interesting and described as having character. The staff and service are generally well spoken of as being helpful and efficient. English is not typically a problem and the hotel people are able to suggest some good eating out options. Guests also get useful ticketing and booking assistance from the staff.
