Hotel The Grand at Grasmere is set in an elegant stone manor house surrounded by luscious green gardens in the heart of the Lake District National Park, 400 metres from the centre of Grasmere village.
The stylish en-suite bedrooms are situated in the main house or a separate lodge. Each has its own individual character and includes a flat-screen television. Some upgraded rooms include air conditioning, including the most prestigious room which has panoramic views from its own private first-floor balcony.
Hotel The Grand at Grasmere offers free on-site parking and complimentary super-fast Wi-Fi. Guests can also relax in front of a log fire in one of the two lounges.
A continental breakfast with cooked options and local produce is available each morning. The Cafe Grand also serves a range of modern British food in front of an open kitchen.
The hotel is within 20 minutes’ drive of Ambleside and the shores of Lake Windermere. The Old Man of Coniston peak is about 20 kilometres away.

With the recent sale of the Gold Rill, guests shouldn’t shy away from visiting. The new owners have kept all the fundamentals in place, and made sure to keep the atmosphere as much in place as they can. Guests can expect to see familiarities upon return.

The staff at The Gold Rill make a point of being at hand for each and every guest, and to personally get involved with fulfilling any request. It doesn’t matter if another staff member would better fulfill the request. Whomever you ask, takes it upon them

Guests returning under the new ownership will find that the drink selection has been modified, and that the prices are no longer the same. Those who have had favourites on the previous drinks menu, may find themselves having to look for a new one.

With the new owner’s adding their flair to The Gold Rill, the rooms are going through a renovation. Guests staying in rooms that have yet to be revamped, may find their lodgings tired, and dated. Each room is being painstakingly re-done in newer fashions,
