Hotel Tuscany Manor Resort (Palm Springs, USA)

The site is calm and conveniently situated not far from downtown Palm Springs and the resort has a shuttle to take you there. The grounds are satisfactory and pleasant.

The apartment styled accommodation is nice. The size is certainly spacious, which makes it more comfortable if you are traveling with a group.

There are a number of places for great dining nearby if you are not in the mood for cooking. However, the kitchen has utensils for cooking and there are grills by the pool.

The cleaning of the facility needs some work. Offending odors, toilet not flushing (which may have something to do with the drought), worn sofa and arm chair, grime under the bed. It appears that the place could do with a good overhaul.

The shower is a tricky situation. The design of the shower is awkward and fills with water much like a mini swimming pool, and the water is either extremely hot or exceedingly cold. Then to top-it-off, the smoke alarm is near the shower, which detects the heat from the water and goes off. The ventilation is poor as well. After your shower, the walls are dripping wet.

It would be great if the kitchen was better equipped with more dishes and other utensils. The free Wi-Fi is poor or barely existent. No one is in the office from 5 pm to 8 am, which can be a real issue, even with an emergency number. Overall, it is usually the attention to details that makes the difference in what you think about your general experience at a hotel.
