When it comes to customer service, the Golden Sands excels - in the opinion of virtually all former guests. As well as a professional and helpful demeanor, the staff is considered very friendly and personable.

For nearly every past visitor, the location of the hotel in Carolina Beach is essentially unbeatable. Positioned right next to the beach, the accommodation is also close to a variety of restaurants, shops and points of interest. Moreover, the hotel's pier area with Tiki Bar is regarded as a great attraction in its own right.

The rooms at the Golden Sands, thanks to apparently being spotlessly clean with comfy furnishings, have received rave reviews from most previous guests. In addition, some rooms at the hotel - especially those on the higher floors - reportedly offer wonderful ocean views from the private balconies.

A complaint that a small number of past visitors have had about the Golden Sands relates to the lack of a breakfast option. However, there are a variety of dining choices in the area that serve breakfast that somewhat makes up for this negative.

In the opinion of a few previous guests, the Wi-Fi is not the best at the hotel. If you are planning on using the Wi-Fi extensively, keep in mind that it has been said that the wireless Internet is slow and can disconnect at times.
