This is a more sophisticated hostel with modern décor. Each bed has its own locker with a key, hangers, and a luggage area. It's clean and spacious as well. The ambiance is positive and feels safe.

You can't beat the location. You are within walking distance to nearly everything in Madrid. It's great for night life if that's what you are looking for, but away from the heavy tourist areas.

Staff are nice, helpful, and involved. They will assist you with organizing activities like walking tours and bar crawls. The communal area is good for cooking or just meeting other people. There is also a small balcony where people meet and talk, watch TV, or go online with their laptops.

The noise from the bar may get on your nerves. In addition, you may have instances of a lot of noise from visitors coming in late at night. The bathrooms should have better soundproofing as well. What's more, certain things may be tricky to operate like the fixtures on the sink.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi seems to be an issue. The connection is not reliable, though you do manage to make a connection from time to time. Perhaps the strength of your Wi-Fi depends on your device and where you are located inside the hostel.

You might think breakfast is a joke. You are given rolls, donuts, and fruit with water, tea or coffee, and hot chocolate to drink. Strangely, they offer cereal and milk but no bowls or spoons for eating. One thing that's good are the pancakes. The pancake mix is free and you can make them yourself in the communal room.
