Albert Hall (Nottingham, United Kingdom)

Construction of the Albert Hall began in 1873 and by the time that it was completed it was the largest concert hall in Nottingham. It soon however proved to not be financially viable as a concert venue and in 1901 the hall was sold to a consortium of local businessmen and turned into a Methodist hall. In 1906 a large part of the building was destroyed by fire and funds were raised to restore it. The newly refurbished Albert Hall reopened in September 1910. Today it is used as a conference venue and also a wedding venue. There are various different rooms and banqueting halls that can be hired out by the public. Tours of the hall are available on a few specific days throughout the year.
