Anastasia State Park offers its visitors a large number of diverse activities, like miles of hiking trails, canoeing and kayaking, fishing and bird watching. 4 miles of beach offer facilities not only for swimming but also for windsurfing, showers and beach wheelchairs are available. The landscape of the park is made up of tidal salt marsh and maritime and upland hammock. The park is also home to a 300 year old coquina quarry, nowadays an archaeological site, where the coquina rock that was needed to built nearby Castillo de San Marcos was mined. The site is open to visitors and can be reached via a signed-out walking trail. There is a campground in the park where also a shop, restaurant, WIFI hotspot and rental shop can be found and lessons for various water sports can be booked. Picnic areas, as well as children’s playgrounds, can be found throughout the park. Anastasia State Park is open daily from 8am until sundown.
