Birla Temple at Hyderabad is one of the temples built by the Industrialist Birla and it took ten years to complete construction. The temple is situated on Kala Pahad hill and offers views of the Hussain Sagar lake, Lumbini Park and the Public Gardens. Adjacent to it are the Birla Planetarium and Science Museum. Built from 2000 tons of Rajasthan white marble, it features South Indian, Rajasthani and Utkal architectural styles and is reached by a stairway which passes a number of marble statues. It is open daily from 07h00 - 12h00 and 15h00 - 21h00
