“Città della Domenica” (Sunday’s Town) is an amusement park and entertainment centre offering nature trails and learning activities, thanks to stage plays, laboratories, etc… the Park is particulary suggested for families with children and school groups. Located in Perugia, in the district Ferro di Cavallo, just few km from the city centre. It was the first amusement park in Italy. Founded in the 60ies by a local entrepreneur, Mario Spagnoli, it was nicknamed for years “the italian Disneyland”. “Citta’ della Domenica”, differently than the other amusement italian parks coming later, has kept its identity as nature park over the years. This park is a member of UIZA (unione italiana giardini zoologici ed acquari), scientific association which is focused in wild life preservation and biodiversity. The core of the Park is a big wood, home to many animal species, including muflons and deers, free-moving animals. It is also possible to see many other wilde animals, in the animal pens, like lions, llama, zoobras, bisons, ostriches, watussi, yak… the wood is also organised by thematic walkings throught the most famous fairy-tales, like “The sleepy Beauty” or Pinocchio, Little Red Riding Hood… You can visit the park by walk or by train. An old and little train cross the park all the day. Time and Prices: open from 9,30 to 19. Tickets € 14,00 for adults and € 10,00 for childrens. Reductions € 7,00 for children from 4 to 13 years old. Free: Children 0-4, disabled people.
