Dom Zu unserer lieben Frau - Frauenkirche München (Munich, Germany)
The foundation stone of Frauenkirche, or Church of Our Lady, was laid by Duke Sigismund in 1468. The building measures 109 metres (358ft) high and is 40 metres (131ft) wide. This medieval building has twin domes and it is the main church of the archbishop. Entry into the church is permitted at ant time except during the service. The church is easily accessible by train, bus, car or subway via Main Station which is situated at the centre of Munich. Guided tours are available from Munich’s main tourism office and these last for 1-2 hours with a maximum of 20-25 persons per guide. Prices for guided tours range from 105 Euros to 127 Euros.
