Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway (New Romney, United Kingdom)
Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway is a miniature scale railway in South Kent, now covering a distance of 13.5 miles from Hythe, near the channel tunnel to Dungeness. Described as the ‘World’s Smallest Public Railway’, it has existed since 1927 and is used both as a tourist attraction and as a means of transport for locals, especially school children. There are six stations on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, from which you can board a train and travel across the Romney Marsh: Hythe, Dymchurch, St Mary’s Bay, New Romney, Romney Sands and Dungeness. The Railway operates daily from April until the beginning of October and with reduced service/special days out of this season. Check the website for current timetables.
