    The Charles Dickens Museum is located at 48 Doughty Street, where the novelist lived between 1837 and 1839. It is the only surviving London home of Dickens and now houses the largest collection of material related to him in the world. Exhibits include paintings, manuscripts, rare first editions and personal artefacts displayed across four floors. The rooms have been furnished to replicate how they would have looked during the time Dickens spent here. The building first opened as a museum in 1925.
