West Berkshire Museum (Newbury, United Kingdom)
West Berkshire museum is housed in two of Newbury’s most historic buildings, and since 1988 is now maintained by West Berkshire Council. Museum collections include: Agriculture, Archaeology, Archives, Coins and Medals, Costume and Textiles, Decorative and Applied Art, Fine Art, Inland Waterways, Industry, Natural Sciences, Photography, Social History, Toys and Hobbies, Trade and Commerce, Weapons and War including a hot air balloon display, for the 19th century. Unfortunately wheelchair access is not permitted, due to the structural layout of the museum, although guide and hearing dogs are permitted. Visitor Services Assistants are also available where required. April and September: 10am - 5pm October to March 10am - 4pm Closed on Wednesdays except during school holidays, on Sundays and Bank Holidays. Groups of more than 10 are asked to book in advance.
