Great location
The setting of the Britannia Inn in the heart of the Lake District National Park holds obvious appeal for guests. If like many other visitors, you are in the area to walk, you'll find plenty of scenic routes nearby. Plus, you can hop in the car and easily visit other Lake District towns.

Negative Reviews
negative:
Busy and cramped at times
Perhaps due to the popularity of the Britannia Inn, the property can get very busy at times - for some guests, uncomfortably so. The crowds of visitors can make the inn, particularly the bar area, seem cramped.
negative:
Food can be a bit pricey
Although many guests comment favourably on the value for money offered by the rooms, some do suggest that the cost of dining can be a little on the high side. The prices of drinks are also sometimes noted as being inflated.
negative:
Flakey Wi-Fi
Guests are regularly disappointed by the Wi-Fi at the Britannia Inn, with the general consensus appearing to be that the connection is flakey and intermittent. Also, it seems that you may be asked to access the Wi-Fi via Facebook, which guests found odd and insecure.
