    Argyle Street (Glasgow, United Kingdom)

Argyle Street is a street in Glasgow’s City Centre which runs for almost 2 and a half miles. Together with Buchanan Street and Sauchiehall Street, Argyle Street forms part of Glasgow’s shopping district and has a large variety of shops. The entrance to the St Enoch Shopping Centre lies on Argyle Street. Many well known retailers are on the street, including Debenhams, WHSmith, Peacocks, Waterstones and Clintons, as well as such fast food outlets as Pizza Hut and McDonalds. Much of the street is pedestrianised but cars and buses can still pass through. Getting to Argyle Street isn’t difficult. Buses pass around the clock and the aptly named Argyle Street Station leads right off onto the shops. Central Station is nearby and Queen Street Station is a 10 minute walk. The St Enoch Subway Station serves Argyle Street. Pay and display car parks are also nearby. Christmas markets are held on the street.
